​We are seeking a Freight Rate Specialist with more than 1 year of experience in trucking or related field.

Forward Logistics is an intrastate and interstate motor carrier specializing in Loose Cargo Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), Full Trailer Load (FTL), oversized cargo, and special project cargo delivery. In human words, we move cargo from point A to point B on the road with a truck.

ARE YOU ONE OF US?
This position belongs to the Operations Team and reports to the Operations Supervisor. This position is responsible for setting up pricing agreements and providing rate to customers on freight movement. 
Requirements:

• Manage customer rate requests in a timely manner. 
• Maintain rules on fuel surcharge, accessorial surcharge, and general and selective price increases. 
• Work closely with our operation and billing teams to ensure integration and execution excellence.
• Communicate with customers and dispatchers to pass along information promptly.
• Effectively solve problems, escalations, and provide customer support.
• Update various internal reference spreadsheets as needed.
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum one year of experience in trucking / transportation field.
• Have a hunter mentality with respects to new business development and possess strong working relationships with customers.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, and decision making and problem solving skills. 
• Strong ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills and professional e-mail etiquette.
• Effective oral and written communication skill.
• High school graduate required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
